I hear lots of people say that they no longer make New Year resolutions. They gave up because it hadn’t worked in the past. My suggestion is that you make a resolution. Instead of quitting because of past failures. Use those failures as lessons as you try again. Your health is worth the extra effort. Here are some New Year resolution tips:
Start with the end in mind: What do you want to achieve? Write down the steps it takes to achieve it.
Envision it: Close your eyes and imagine how it will feel when you accomplish your goal. See yourself as the person that did it.
Know your why: What is your personal reason for the goal? It’s important to have an emotional connection to it.
Have checkpoints: Check your progress along the way, so you can make adjustments if needed. If you have a goal that may take a year, check your progress monthly.
Bring a buddy along: It ain’t no fun if the homie can’t have none. Involve a friend or family member that has a New Year resolution and you can support each other.
Use these tips to get you started. You can do it!
