I started my fitness journey almost 15 years ago after having my son, but I wasn’t always consistent. However, for the last 3 years I have committed more time and energy to my goals. What motivated me to start my journey 3 years ago was a pain in my knee that wouldn't go away. I knew that part of the pain was the due to the extra weight I was carrying. I began realizing that I was lying to myself saying I loved me when I hated the way I looked. My most important motivating factor was my children. I felt like a hypocrite telling them to do their best at whatever they wanted to achieve, but I was not practicing what I preached.
Some of my goals were to get down to a size 10/12 and to just stay committed to a healthy lifestyle. I want to be a better me, and live my life without regrets. I will definitely make sure I continue to work out and eat right.
My greatest achievement in life has been being a mother to my beautiful children Jabree & Aniyah. I am very proud to be completing my MSW program and soon to be LSW in a few months all while being a full-time mom, employee, and having an internship and still making time to exercise. I owe it all to my faithful relationship with the Lord that has grown while I have been working to improve myself.
My biggest struggle is still food. I want to eat better, but sometimes I do have a sweet tooth and give into temptation. My advice I would give to anyone setting out on a fitness journey is don't give up on your faith and lastly, yourself. Just trust the process. My favorite thing about Coach Moe’s workouts have been the challenges he gives us outside of the workouts. They keep me on my toes and give me chances to earn some daily victories. I have tried other workout options in the past but now with Coach Moe I have found one that really works.
