
Strong for Life: Honoring the Body God Gave Us

As we age, we start to notice changes in our strength, flexibility, and endurance. The body doesn’t bounce back the way it used to. Muscles feel tighter, joints speak louder, and recovery takes just a bit longer.
But here’s the truth: aging doesn’t mean giving up strength—it means fighting for it with more intention.
Every time we work out, every time we break a sweat or pick up a weight, we’re not just building muscle. We’re showing appreciation for the body God gave us. This body? It’s not a mistake. It’s not disposable. It’s a gift—a temple—and it’s our responsibility to care for it.
“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit… Therefore honor God with your bodies.”
—1 Corinthians 6:19-20
Working out is more than just physical. It’s spiritual. It’s worship in motion. When we move, we honor our design. When we strengthen ourselves, we prepare to better serve—our families, our communities, and our purpose.
This isn’t about chasing aesthetics. It’s not about looking good in a mirror. It’s about longevity. It’s about waking up every day ready to live life to the fullest, not limited by fatigue or pain.
Exercise is an act of gratitude.
Each rep says, “Thank You.”
Each drop of sweat says, “I’m still here.”
Each session says, “I’m not wasting this gift.”
We don’t train to impress.
We train to bless.
We train to preserve the temple, to stay active, strong, and energized for the road ahead.
So if you’re feeling tired, sore, or unsure—remember this:
You’re not just working out.
You’re honoring the body God gave you.
Stay strong. Stay grateful.
Keep moving forward—for your health, for your family, and for your faith.
